If you are also an escapee from the Windoze world and you are a developer (this is the main target area in my opinion) who actually used and liked the compact chm files (compressed hierarchical help file format of windows) then you are in for a treat.
If you type ‘chm os x’ into google this will not come up, so listen. I have tried:
- xchm (looks very ugly non-mac like, works on unix too, capable of search)
- chmox (looks ok on the mac, might be mac only, no search)
- chimp (looks very nice on the mac, there is search but a tad slow, powerpc only but works on intel too with rosetta, oh! there’s an export to pdf option, not free)
So, the winner is after trying all of them is chimp. Here’s the link:

It costs five bucks and has not been developed for a while but still beats all of the available solutions hands down. Here’s a screenshot showing the php manual:

A PHP csodálatos array_merge() függvényévél kapcsolatban felhívnám minden érintett figyelmét, hogy - ahogy az a helpben is írva vagyon - újraszámozza a numerikus kulcsait a neki átadott tömböknek. Numerikus, nem integer, tehát a sztring, ami csak egy szám, az is beletartozik ebbe. Én már sokszor belefutottam ebbe az idiotizmusba, persze leginkább mikor option dobozkákhoz generálok adatokat. Na most, a legegyszerűbb megoldás, ha a két tömböt simán összeadod.
Tehát
$vera = $gizi+ $mari;
mivel $vera egymagában annyit tud mint ezek ketten együtt.

So there is this series “24″. It has been running for a while in the States. I have never had the opportunity to watch it (nor that I wanted). I wasted my weekend watching its sixth period.
In a nutshell: it is like a constant 24 hour action movie like Die Hard. Substitute Kiefer Sutherland with Bruce Willies and there you have it.
Things interesting to note:
- Every part is approximately 35-40 minutes with the remaining time of an hour filled with 4 part of ads. Every time an ad comes a timer shows up on the screen showing the time in the film. Then - I guess - the ads come (I never saw them as I got them from the net). And when they’re over we’re back to the timer or a few seconds and it continues. Lots of ad money could be generated with this
Imagine every 10-15 minute there’s a 5 minute ad block.
- In this series they were having some problems with some bald arab terorist. Now never ever the country of that terrorist was spoken in the film. I can understand that, but it sounds a bit silly to always refer to the country in question as “Fayad’s country”. Being politically very correct, right? As I said I can understand this but it still sounds stupid. Otherwise I do not think too many people have noted it at all.
- The people oh my god. There’s a woman called Chloe? who always looks like she’s very disturbed. quite pessimistic of course - in a way. Why the need?
- And again: The black prime minister (commander in chief / mr. president
). The chinese who play the bad guys part. The arabs who are bad again - but there is one very good (and nice too) arab girl who works for the good guys. All in all: I liked that the characters change over time. People who start out being black and white with their opinions turn out to be more grey in the end. Which is good. You cannot always be right.
Anyways: Sutherland is good.
