Startup companies’ death and why that happens
Oh yeah.
I always wondered why the heck are there so many ’startups’ in our era. Nowadays lots of people seem to be jumping on the bandwagon of ‘oh, let’s do a company, pure SAAS, and earn some money with it. In some way I understand the urge, and can somehow sympathize with them. Still there are just too many of them. And it shows.
Too many ideas, so few good ones. That’s it, in a nutshell. I also have my own company and have a few ideas, but do not want to hurry up with it. There are some good ideas that turned out to be successful. We have Mark Zuckerberg with his facebook and he’s still in his twenties. Then yahoo and google were also incorporated by some younger guys (no women here… it’s still men’s play?) in the middle - late middle of the 90’s. Not so long ago. Then myspace. And from the hungarian marketplace we have iwiw.
